Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski will visit Ukraine on April 8-9, according to his official website.
During the trip, Komorowski is scheduled to visit Kyiv, including the Bykivnia Graves memorial center, to commemorate the anniversary of the massacre of Polish officers in Katyn.
This will be the last foreign visit by Komorowski before the Polish presidential elections are held on May 10.
Thousands of people executed during the Stalinist period were buried by the Soviet secret police, the NKVD, in the Bykivnia forest located outside Kyiv.
The Bykivnia Graves memorial center was opened in 1994 and was turned into a national historic memorial in 2006.
In 2012, a Polish military cemetery was opened at memorial center. Some 3,500 Polish soldiers who were executed in the 1940s are buried there.
