Plane carrying remains of Malaysian Boeing crash victims leaves Kharkiv for Eindhoven
A plane carrying remains of victims of Malaysian Boeing 777-200, which crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17, has left Kharkiv airport for Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
Acting deputy head of Kharkiv regional state administration Vadym Hlushko took part in the mourning service, the administration's press service told a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine.
The delivery of the human remains has been accompanied by the representatives of the embassies of Australia and of the Netherlands, under supervision of Hans van de Ven, commander of the team's combat unit probing into the MH 17 crash.
Three containers with the human remains are on board.
Meanwhile, plane debris will remain in Kharkiv. Probably they will be delivered to the Netherlands by car.
As reported, the Malaysia Airlines MH17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17, killing all 298 people on board. Most of the victims were Dutch and Malaysian nationals. The casualties also included citizens of Australia, Indonesia, Germany, Belgium, the Philippines, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand.
