Government to submit bill toughening responsibility for corruption to Rada - PM
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will initiate amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and the Criminal Code of Ukraine to toughen responsibility for corruption, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"Taking into account the recent events, including court rulings under which corrupt officials are being released on symbolic bail, the government will submit to the parliament amendments to the criminal procedure legislation and criminal legislation in order to significantly strengthen the responsibility of corrupt officials," he said on Friday at an extended staff meeting of the Interior Ministry Ukraine on fighting corruption.
