International pressure on Russia over Ukraine will continue – White House spokesperson

The global community will continue to exert pressure on Russia because of its policy regarding Ukraine, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest has said.

This pressure will continue until Russia fulfils its obligations under the Minsk agreements and other previously reached agreements, he told reporters.

According to Earnest, the sanctions imposed on Russia continue to affect its economy.

The economic problems in Russia are related to its ongoing support of separatists in eastern Ukraine, he said.
