Obama: 'strong sanctions' against Russia over Ukraine need to be maintained
U.S. President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that sanctions against Russia over Ukraine should remain in force, Bloomberg reported.
"The president said that the U.S. and Europe 'need to maintain strong sanctions' against Russia to make sure a ceasefire agreement can succeed," Bloomberg wrote.
The sanctions were among the subjects discussed by Obama with Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny on Tuesday.
