Rada approves introduction of special procedures in some districts of Donbas after local elections
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the law which envisages the introduction of special procedures in some areas of Donbas after early local elections.
A total of 265 MPs voted on Tuesday for the bill amending Article 10 of the law on special local self-government procedures in some areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which was submitted by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
The law says that these special procedures will be implemented by local self-governance bodies elected in extraordinary elections.
