Ukraine to introduce electronic visas – foreign minister
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is planning to re-format itself along the lines of the best European foreign-policy departments, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.
"We will be like the European diplomatic services which have the best performance and standards," he said in a government report on its first 100 days in office on Thursday. "We will introduce electronic visas in the very near future," he added.
In particular, once legislation concerning public service at the Foreign Ministry is passed, the ministry will draft and submit a bill on diplomatic service, he said.
Already each Ukrainian can rate the job performance of the Ukrainian consular services abroad by filing their proposals on how to improve the government's work, Klimkin said.
