Ukrainian army funded from national budget, not foreign loans – Yatseniuk
Foreign loans granted to Ukraine are not used to maintain the armed forces, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"We are not given money for tanks, aircraft or salaries. Every penny that goes to the army comes straight from our budget made up of taxpayers' money paid by ordinary Ukrainians, Ukrainian companies, and business. All spending is from the national budget," he said during a government's public report on Thursday.
