Nine bodies found at Zasiadko coal mine – Donetsk region administration
The bodies of nine coal miners who died as a result of a methane explosion at Zasiadko mine in Donetsk have been found, a Donetsk regional state administration spokesman has reported.
23 coalminers remain unaccounted for.
"As of 17:00 of Wednesday, the death toll of people killed in the coal mine reached 10 people, and 16 were hospitalized," the spokesman said.
230 miners were inside the mine when the explosion happened.
