Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, recently spoke on the phone with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.
Mogherini reaffirmed the EU's strong political support to the OSCE's engagement in Ukraine, including for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
The parties also discussed the ongoing crisis in eastern Ukraine, the need for full implementation of the Minsk agreements and the concrete measures the EU can take to support the challenging work of the OSCE.
"The EU is already the SMM's largest financial and in-kind contributor, but we are ready to consider further stepping up of our support to enable the OSCE to play its full part in ensuring the effective implementation of the Minsk agreements," said Mogherini.
