Kyiv seeks peacekeepers' presence along Donbas line of contact, border with Russia – Ukraine Foreign Ministry
Ukraine wants a peacekeeping contingent to be stationed both on the Ukrainian-Russian border and along the line of contact in Donbas, the director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's politics and communications department, Oleksiy Makeyev, has said.
"It is in Ukraine's interest to secure peacekeeping forces' deployment on the border with the Russian Federation, where they would monitor how the ceasefire is being observed, where weaponry is being withdrawn, how the disarmament process is proceeding, as well as how armed units are pulling out," he told the ICTV television station on Monday evening.
