President arrives in UAE on working visit

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will be the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 23-24, on a working visit.

In Abu Dhabi, he will visit one of the world’s largest international defense exhibitions, IDEX2015.

The president will also meet with Prime Minister of the UAE Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

"The International Exhibition of weapons and technologies IDEX is held once every two years. This is a unique platform for building and strengthening relationships with government institutions and companies from the Middle East and Asia. IDEX is held under the patronage of President of the United Arab Emirates and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The exhibition is organized by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC)," the president's press service said.

Armaments for ground forces, air defense and marine equipment are the main focus of the exhibition. In 2015, a showroom of unmanned aerial vehicles was opened.
