'Military office' appears at Ukraine's NSDC

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has established a so-called military office to promptly address issues concerning national security and defense, NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov has said.

"Sessions between military commanders and the country's leaders have already become routine," Turchynov said at the council's meeting on Wednesday evening.

"That is why one of the decisions adopted today deals with the establishment of the NSDC's military office, which will include the heads of our security services along with the country's leaders," he said.

The idea of the NSDC's military cabinet belongs to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
