Over 1 million displaced persons formally registered in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Social Policy Ministry has reported the registration of 1.042 million resettlers from Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimea.
"As of February 17, 2015, social protection units and regional and Kyiv state administrations have registered 1.042 million resettlers or 737,603 families from Donbas and Crimea," the Social Policy Ministry reported on Wednesday.
The ministry said that allowances would be paid to 267,966 families. A total of 276 million hryvni have been transferred.
In turn, the Federal Migration Service said that over one million Ukrainian citizens had moved to Russia and more than 250,000 of them were granted asylum.
