Ex-Party of Regions MP Yefremov freed on bail - source
Oleksandr Yefremov, ex-head of the Party of Regions faction in the Ukrainian parliament, has been released on UAH 3.6 million bail, a source with the Ukrainian Prosecutor's General Office told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The bail was posted and Yefremov was released. He has left for home," the source said on Tuesday night.
"Probably new charges will be brought against him tomorrow morning," he said.
The source did not specify whether the new changes will deal with separatism.
Officers of the Ukrainian Prosecutor's General Office and the Ukrainian Security Service detained Yefremov on February 14. He is charged with abuse of office and forgery.
Kyiv Pechersky District Court ordered to arrest Yefremov and allowed the posting of UAH 3.6 million bail on Tuesday.
