Five Ukrainian soldiers killed, 22 wounded in Shyrokyne - Defense of Mariupol
The non-governmental organization Defense of Mariupol has said that an attack on Ukrainian army positions in Shyrokyne has killed five servicemen and injured 22.
The positions in Shyrokyne, southern Donbas, were twice attacked by tanks on Sunday in spite of the ceasefire regime, it said.
"The Ukrainian army lost five men [all of them were volunteers from the Azov battalion] and 22 were injured [including four army servicemen and 18 Azov battalion servicemen]," Defense of Mariupol wrote on Facebook on Monday.
The organization said that a mortar attack on the eastern outskirts of Shyrokyne began on Monday morning. "The shelling is still underway," it said.
So far, all is quiet at other positions in the 'M' sector, Defense of Mariupol said.
