Documents signed in Minsk don't envision federalization, autonomy for Donbas – Poroshenko
The agreements reached between the leaders of the Normandy Quartet on settling the Ukraine crisis in Minsk on Thursday stipulate that Ukraine is to conduct a constitutional reform toward the decentralization of its governance system, but they do not imply the country's federalization, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Despite strong insistence, we didn't agree to any autonomous status. We stressed today that we will do this within the framework of constitutional amendments aimed at decentralization. We didn't agree to any compromise on federalization either. There is no autonomy or federalization in the document," Poroshenko said in commenting on the agreements reached between the four leaders.
