Battalion commander reports fighting on Artemivsk-Debaltseve road, says there is no pocket

The fighting continues on the Artemivsk-Debaltseve road and the militants are storming the town of Lohynove, Ukrainian parliament deputy, Donbas battalion commander Semen Semenchenko told Interfax.

"The town of Lohynove located on the road between Artemivsk and Debaltseve is being stormed. In fact, this is the so-called operative encirclement as only one road is blocked. There are lots of dirt roads by which food, ammunition and gear are being supplied. There is no pocket there [in Debaltseve]. They are fighting for the road, to unblock it," he said on Thursday.
