Poroshenko signs decrees on Yarema's dismissal, Shokin's appointment as Ukraine's prosecutor general
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree appointing Viktor Shokin as prosecutor general of Ukraine.
The corresponding decree dated February 10 was published on the president's website on Wednesday.
Poroshenko also signed a decree dismissing Vitaliy Yarema from the post.
As reported, on Tuesday, February 10, the Verkhovna Rada supported the president's nomination of Shokin as prosecutor general.
