European mission to examine Ukraine's progress in meeting visa liberalization criteria – Foreign Ministry
A mission of experts of the European Commission and EU member states is currently in Ukraine to assess the country's progress in meeting the criteria of the second part of the action plan on visa liberalization with the EU, Foreign Minister Spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis has said.
"From February 9 until February 13, as a part of visa free dialogue between Ukraine and the EU, a mission of experts from the European Commission and EU member states is in Ukraine to assess Ukraine's progress in meeting the criteria of the second stage of the action plan for visa liberalization with the EU," Foreign Ministry Spokesman told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the matters to be examined include realizing state policy, international agreements and anti-discrimination mechanisms, the implementation of the laws of international institutions on the protection of personal information, the operation of law enforcement agencies, and providing Ukrainian citizens, foreigners and stateless persons with freedom of movement and the right to choose a place of residence.
