Rada backs Yarema resignation as prosecutor general
The Verkhovna Rada has backed the proposal made by Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko to relieve Vitaliy Yarema of his duties as prosecutor general of Ukraine.
A total of 291 parliamentarians voted for that decision, an Interfax correspondent has reported.
Poroshenko has now arrived in parliament. The parliament has begun considering Viktor Shokin for the post of prosecutor general of Ukraine.
