U.S. to continue to provide Ukraine with security assistance, says Biden
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has said that the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with security assistance and the United States does not believe there is a military solution in Ukraine.
"So we will continue to provide Ukraine with security assistance, not to encourage war but to allow Ukraine to defend itself… We do not believe there is a military solution in Ukraine," he said at Munich Security Conference on February 7.
"We do not believe Russia has the right to do what they're doing," he said.
"We believe we should attempt an honorable peace. But we also believe the Ukrainian people have a right to defend themselves [the phrase elicited applause of conference participants]," he said.
