Georgian citizen becomes Ukrainian deputy justice minister
The Ukrainian cabinet has appointed Georgian citizen Gia Getsadze to the post of Ukraine's deputy justice minister.
Getsadze's appointment was approved by the government's resolution No. 66, dated February 4, 2015.
Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said earlier that four Georgian citizens would be appointed to high-ranking posts in Ukraine's Justice Minister.
In his new capacity, Getsadze will coordinate Ukraine's anti-corruption drive, as well as reforms of the country's State Executive Service and State Registration Service.
Getsadze earlier held the post of the Georgian president's envoy to the Imereti district and governor of western Georgia. He also headed the law faculty of Ilia State University in Tbilisi.
