OSCE mission does not confirm use of Tochka-U missile by Ukrainian govt forces
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) has not confirmed the use of the Tochka-U missile system by Ukrainian government forces against militants, SMM spokesperson Iryna Hudyma said.
"The LPR [the self-proclaimed Luhansk people's republic] told the Luhansk SMM yesterday that, in their opinion, a Tochka missile had hit Alchivsk. LPR representatives promised to show photo and other documentary evidence, but have still not done so. An SMM patrol visited the place today and saw a crater, but there were no pieces of a projectile or a missile, which, as the LPR said, had been removed," Hudyma told Interfax on Tuesday evening.
"Therefore, the SMM is not in a position to fully examine this place," she said.
