Ukraine-controlled towns in Luhansk region come under 43 attacks over past day – governor
Ukrainian-controlled towns in the Luhansk region came under 43 attacks over the past day, in the words of Luhansk Region Governor Hennadiy Moskal.
"The attackers were using various types of weapons, up to heavy artillery and Grad rocket launchers. Popasna, Schastia, Novotoshkivske, Krymske, Triokhizbenka and Chornukhyne were the hotbeds," Moskal's press service said in a report.
Shells ruptured a high-pressure gas pipeline in Schastia and started a fire, which was rapidly put out. Besides that, harm was done to the heating hub and water mains. There is no heating, water or gas supply in the city now. No civilians are hurt, as most people have left to safe areas.
More than 30 homes were damaged by artillery attacks in Stanytsia Luhanska and surrounding towns in the past 24 hours. A civilian was hurt. Gas supply is partial.
