Poroshenko invites Polish economist, author of 'shock therapy' Balcerowicz to join reform process in Ukraine
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has met with Polish economist and politician Leszek Balcerowicz and invited him to join the reform process in Ukraine.
According to the press service of the president, the head of state noted that Ukraine, which is now the object of aggression, needs international support to stabilize the economy. At the same time, he said the country has unique opportunities for reforms.
"Today we have the government with a high potential, very professional and pro-European. We have a unique opportunity to carry out reforms in the country," Poroshenko said.
However, he stressed the Polish experience in the sphere of local governance reforms would be interesting for Ukraine.
