Members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) are going to Debaltseve, Donetsk region, to monitor the ongoing evacuation of civilians, OSCE SMM spokesperson Michael Bociurkiw said.
He said at a press briefing in Kyiv an SMM patrol went to Debaltseve on Thursday morning to watch the evacuation of elderly people, women and children from the strategic town.
The OSCE SMM has been trying to arrange local ceasefires for the safe evacuation of civilians as the gunfire and hostilities present a significant threat to human life and health, Bociurkiw said.
