Ukrainian parliamentarian and deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Serhiy Sobolyev has said that the PACE resolution adopted on Wednesday calls Russia, in addition to Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko, to immediately release all hostages, prisoners of war and illegally held persons in Russia.
"The action of the amendment with an appeal to release also concerns the other persons, who are illegally held in custody [in Russia], and the prisoners of war," Batkivschyna party quotes Sobolyev as saying.
The recently adopted resolution of PACE assembly calls upon the Russian authorities to release Savchenko within 24 hours and to ensure her return to Ukraine.
