Ukraine, Poland leaders fix meeting after celebrations of 70th anniversary of Auschwitz liberation
President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski expressed condolences to his Ukrainian counterpart over the tragedy in Mariupol, when 30 people were killed as a result of shelling of terrorists supported by Russia, the president's press service reported.
In a telephone conversation this night Komorowski and Poroshenko have agreed on bilateral meeting today after the ceremony of commemorating the 70th anniversary of liberation of Auschwitz.
The parties have also coordinated their positions on the eve of the session of the EU Foreign Affairs Council that will be held on January 29 in Brussels.
In this context, the Ukrainian leader has emphasized that the assault on Mariupol was a terrorist act, the same as the shelling of the bus near Volnovakha and the trolleybus in Donetsk, as well as the elimination of the MH17 aircraft.
He has urged Poland to facilitate the formation of the EU's uniform position and solidarity with Ukraine.
