NSDC adopts package of resolutions on boosting Ukraine's defense
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) adopted a package of resolutions on the country's defense capability at a sitting on Sunday.
"Based on the results of the discussion of emergency measures to counteract the Russian threat and manifestations of terrorism supported by the Russian Federation, a package of resolutions has been adopted to boost the country's defense capability and counter-terrorist measures, to create military-civilian administrations in the anti-terrorist operation zone to ensure the security and living of people in these territories," NSDC press service reported.
In addition, a decision on the state defense order to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard and other military formations with new weapons and military equipment was made.
The NSDC also initiated a package of legislative amendments to boost the country's defense, particularly amendments to the lustration law that would allow experienced officers and generals to continue their service.
