Militants shell army positions 102 times over past day

The Ukrainian army operation spokesman Leonid Matiukhin told Interfax the militants shelled the army positions 102 times over the past day.

Since 6 p.m. on Monday the militants "conducted 49 attacks on army positions and populated areas nearby, primarily the town of Krymske in the Luhansk region. It was shelled by Grad rocket launchers four times and twice by mortars," he said.

Besides this, Verkhnia Vilkhova, Triokhizbenka, Stanytsia Luhanska and Pisky were shelled. A tank attacked Schastia and mortars and grenade launchers were thrice used against Stanytsia Luhanska. Army positions were attacked near Triokhizbenka, Mariyinka, Krasnohorivka and Tonenke, Matiukhin said.

There were ten attacks against populated areas in the Donetsk region.
