OSCE monitors unable to get to Donetsk airport - spokeswoman

Members of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe made unsuccessful attempts on Thursday to visit Donetsk airport, the SMM spokeswoman said.

"The monitors returned after what was their second attempt today to visit the airport. They hadn't been able to get to the airport," Iryna Hudyma told Interfax-Ukraine.

Earlier on Thursday, the press center for the Ukrainian government's anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine had said in a statement that militants had attacked a new terminal in the airport and were planning a provocation.
