Shelling disables Donetsk filtering station – DTEK
Damage done to 110-kV transmission lines in the bombardment of Yasynuvata and Avdiyivka late on Monday night cut power to the Donetsk filtering station, the DTEK power company press center reported on Tuesday.
"There is no power supply to the filtering station that supplies water to Avdiyivka and, partially, Donetsk and Yasynuvata. DTEK Power Grid workers are repairing the damaged sections," the report said.
Bombardment of the filtering station and its power lines has been frequent since September 2014, the press service added.
"Workers of DTEK Power Grid have repaired high-voltage transmission lines of the Donetsk filtering station over 50 times. In fact, repairs have been practically constant for over three months with the exception of short periods of quiet," it said.
