European states may ratify Ukraine-EU Association Agreement by 2016 – Poroshenko administration
Deputy Head of the Ukrainian president's administration Valeriy Chaly has said that each EU member states may ratify the Association Agreement with Ukraine by 2016.
"Twelve countries have already ratified the Association Agreement, and if all things are equal then Ukraine can ratify the agreement even this year, although, some said that 2-4 years is necessary for that. We work according to the schedule but two or three times faster," he said on Channel Five on Monday.
Chaly also said that the EU could introduce a visa-free regime for the Ukrainians by the end of this year.
"The political decision might be taken at the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, for which we are also are preparing, and it is quite realistic to be ready to introduce such a regime by the end of the year if we cope with our 'homework'," he stressed.
