Poroshenko to submit to Ukrainian parliament bills on mobilization, National Guard this week
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko intends to submit to the Verkhovna Rada bills on mobilization and the National Guard this week, Serhiy Pashynsky, a member of the People's Front faction of the Ukrainian parliament, said.
"The president will submit extremely important bills on mobilization and the National Guard this week," Pashynsky said in the parliament on Tuesday.
Calling on all colleagues to back the bills, Pashynsky said: "No one without exception, including parliamentarians, should be immune from mobilization."
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak earlier said another wave of mobilization will begin on January 20 and will last ninety days (until April). The number of people called up for military service will reach 50,000.
