Ukrainian president expects Anti-Corruption Bureau results by August 24
Ukrainian President Poroshenko has said he expects the National Anti-Corruption Bureau to produce results by Independence Day, which is celebrated on August 24.
"Its (National Anti-Corruption Bureau's) work, the results of which, I have no doubt, will appear this year, should become its calling card," he said at the first meeting of the tender committee for the electing the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in Kyiv on January 9.
"I will be very happy if the Anti-Corruption Bureau demonstrates strong results in the fight against corruption, before the anniversary of Ukraine's independence," the president said.
He noted that these achievements would largely depend on the director of the anti-corruption bureau.
