European commission proposes that Kyiv should not be in hurry to hold donor conference
The European Commission continues to insist on the necessity of the Ukrainian government conducting serious structural reforms, a representative of the European Commission told reporters in Brussels on January 9.
He said that further aid for Ukraine is conditional on these reforms.
He also said that Brussels believes that it is not a good time for a donor conference to be held in Ukraine, which was planned for January.
There is no date for the conference, he said. We proposed that they wait until they draw up a concrete strategy of national reform, he said.
Previously, the presidential administration of Ukraine said that the donor conference could be held in the first quarter of 2015.
