The deputy chief monitor of the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Alexander Hug, is due to visit eastern Ukraine on Wednesday and Thursday.
Hug is planning to visit the SMM team posted in militia-controlled Donetsk, have other meetings and assess the local situation from the security standpoint, the OSCE said in a statement.
The statement said Hug would be willing to talk to reporters about the SMM's activities, the enlargement of its membership, security issues and the monitoring of the current ceasefire.
