Two Ukrainian servicemen killed, 20 wounded in Donbas in past 24 hours
Two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and another 20 were wounded in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas in the past 24 hours, Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, said.
"Two were killed [near Stanytsia Luhanska]… Another twenty were wounded," he told a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday.
Lysenko said the two killed military men are members of the Ukrainian National Guard, whose battalion was ambushed. As for the twenty wounded troops, it is the total number of the troops wounded in the anti-terrorist operation zone, not just near Stanytsia Luhanska, he said.
The National Guard's press service earlier reported that two National Guard members had been killed and another 14 had been wounded near Stanytsia Luhanska.
