Georgian, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani sailors rescued from sinking ship off Turkish coast
The crew of the Ukrainian ship Gulf Rio, which ran aground off the coast of Turkey near the city of Samsun, has been rescued, the Georgian TV Company Imedi reported on Thursday.
According to the channel, the ship which had four citizens of Georgia, as well as citizens of Ukraine and Azerbaijan aboard, was going to sink, but the rescue operation was successful.
All four citizens of Georgia are in satisfactory condition, Vice Consul of Georgia in Trabzon Manana Beriashvili said.
However, she did not disclose any information about the health condition of other crew members.
