Czech defense ministry donates 10,000 items of winter clothing to Ukrainian military
The Czech Defense Ministry has donated over 10,000 items of winter clothes which it no longer requires to its Ukrainian colleagues, according to a posting on the Czech Defense Ministry’s website.
"The material aid includes some 2,000 coats with warm lining of the 1997 pattern, 800 pairs of boots of the 1995 pattern and 3,000 plush ear flaps hats. Taking into account the season, the clothes are mainly for the winter period. The military clothes were declared redundant and admissible to be transferred to the Defense Ministry of Ukraine," reads the report, citing Jan Jires, director of the ministry's defense policy and strategy section, who signed the document allowing the donation on December 30, 2014.
