Parliament speaker hopes for unity in parliamentary coalition
The prospect of a coalition depends on the mood in the parliamentary majority, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman has said.
"The prospect of a parliamentary majority depends on the mood in the coalition. I hope that the coalition will be monolithic," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
However, he said it was important that the coalition leaders be ready for a professional discussion and compromise when needed.
"Of course, as head of parliament, I would really like the decisions made for the benefit of Ukraine to be supported by the majority of deputies in the hall," he said.
Hroisman said that now was not the time for political confrontation.
