Naftogaz pre-pays Gazprom for 1 bcm of January gas

Naftogaz Ukrainy has pre-paid Russia's Gazprom for approximately one billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in January 2015, Naftogaz's press office has said.

The pre-payment includes an unused advance payment for December 2014 and a separate advance for January.

The gas that will be purchased from the unused December advance is calculated at a new price.

Naftogaz will order and use volumes of gas depending on the needs of Ukrainian consumers.
