DNR, LNR attempt to review previous Minsk Agreements during recent talks – source
A Ukrainian source close to Minsk talks told Interfax that there would be a point in continuing the consultations in Minsk only if they addressed agreements reached previously, instead of reviewing them, and were held only with the Minsk memorandum signatories.
"If the Minsk group's consultations were to continue, they should be held only with the signatories to the Minsk memorandum and protocol, and they should only build upon previous agreements without reviewing them, which representatives of the so-called DPR and LPR attempts to do yesterday," the source said.
At these consultations, the self-proclaimed republics were represented by "absolutely incompetent people, who were not authorized to make decisions and were not even aware of any agreements reached earlier," he said.
There is a 50% chance of the trilateral Contact Group will meet again on Friday, he added.
