Unknown man hurls grenade at Ukrainian MPs in central Kyiv – Interior Ministry
An unknown man hurled a grenade in the direction of a group of Ukrainian parliamentarians outside a hotel in Kyiv late on Wednesday, the Kyiv department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.
As police chased the suspect, he threw another grenade at officers and escaped, it said. One policeman was injured.
A criminal investigation has been opened on a count of hooliganism (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Ukrainian Penal Code).
Criminologists are working to establish the type of the grenade used in the incident.
