Negotiations conducted by the contact group on settling the situation in eastern Ukraine will start at 16:00 in Minsk, deputy head of the presidential administration Valeriy Chaly has said.
"I've just talked to the representatives that went to Minsk. They are already prepared and are planning to start the long-delayed meeting of the trilateral group at around 1600 in Minsk," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday and specified that the meeting was to start at 16:00, Kyiv time.
According to Chaly, Ukraine is represented by the second President Leonid Kuchma. Issues connected to freeing captives, observance of the ceasefire and withdrawal from the line of contact, which is clearly defined in the Minsk memorandum, will be discussed at the meeting.
"Ukraine will never withdraw from the Minsk agreements," Chaly noted.
