Poroshenko: conscripts will not be sent to ATO area
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has assured conscripts would not be sent to the zone of the anti-terrorist operation.
"Our position is as follows: we are renewing military conscription, which will allow us in the first quarter to ensure the demobilization of those conscripts, who were called a year or a year and a half ago. Denying the sending of conscripts to the ATO area will be de facto the training of quality reserve, people who will have relevant experience," the president said, opening a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in Kyiv on Saturday.
