Ukraine, Hungary to open another border checkpoint, implement joint border control - Klimkin
Ukraine and Hungary will implement joint control at border checkpoints and open one additional border checkpoint, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"Our ambition is to introduce common border and customs control at all checkpoints in the future," Klimkin said at a press conference after talks with Foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Szijjarto.
According to him, the specific timing of introducing joint control will be discussed in the framework of the existing Ukrainian-Hungarian commission.
"Since I was involved in the introduction of joint customs control between Ukraine and Poland, then [I can say that] the results will significantly depend on whether we need additional logistics preparation for such joint control. Therefore during a next meeting of the commission we will make a very clear schedule," Klimkin said.
At the same time, he said that an additional checkpoint will open at the border between Ukraine and Hungary.
