The truce regime is being generally observed in Donbas and militants are using only light firearms in sporadic incidents, army operation staff spokesman Andriy Lysenko said.

"The regime of silence generally prevails and we have been recording only the use of light firearms. Rocket and artillery systems, mortars and tanks are not being used. And so the ongoing shooting incidents are provocations," Lysenko said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

"There is no reason to speak about an escalation of tensions and the situation practically repeats itself day after day," - Lysenko said.
