EU's Mogherini, UN under-secretary-general and Visegrad Group foreign ministers to visit Kyiv today
European Union High Representative for the Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, as well as the foreign ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, Grzegorz Schetyna, Lubomir Zaoralek, Miroslav Lajcak, and Peter Szijjarto, are expected to arrive in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on Tuesday.
During her December 16-17 visit, EU foreign policy chief Mogherini will meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, as well as members of the country's government, parliament and civil society to discuss the EU's possible measures to help Ukraine resolve its crisis and implement necessary reforms.
Feltman, who will also spend December 16 and December 17 in Kyiv, plans to hold consultations with Ukraine's high-ranking government officials, representatives of civil society and other key figures of the country, the UN office has said.
The foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group member states (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary), for their part, are expected to hold negotiations with the Ukrainian leadership and meetings at the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
